James Bourne is an English singer, songwriter, producer, and musician is renowned for co-founding the multi-million-selling pop rock band, Busted (2000-2005; 2015-Present). James Bourne Facts

He got interested in music after finding out about Michael Jackson while watching The Simpsons in elementary school.

James owns his own record company called SicPuppy Records. Moreover, he is also the owner of a skating and apparel company called SicPuppy.

Michael Jackson’s iconic album Bad (1987) was the first CD he ever bought.

James picked up the name ‘Son of Dork’ for his second band from a scene in the film, Problem Child (1990).

He has written musicals such as Loserville: The Musical! and Out There: The Musical in collaboration with his friend and composer, Elliot Davis.

He is close friends with the musician Tom Fletcher, who is the founder and lead vocalist of a pop rock band called McFly.

In his career, James has written songs for the Backstreet Boys, Boyzone, Jonas Brothers, The Saturdays, McFly, Pixie Lott, 5 Seconds Of Summer, The Vamps, etc.

In 2004, he helped write songs such as 5 Colours In Her Hair and Obviously for McFly; both of which peaked at the UK Singles Chart upon their release.

In 2013, Bourne along with fellow Busted member Matt Willis joined members of McFly to form the supergroup, McBusted. They released their eponymous debut album in 2014 and it was certified ‘Gold’ by the BPI before the group disbanded in 2015.
